Talking to Jason Rothenberg and Lindsey Morgan are two completely different experiences. While Jason is clearly focused on the big picture, on the season as a whole and the group, Lindsay is – just as we’d want her to, all about Raven.
Still, they both gave some very good teases about the season to come, with Jason promising that Season 5 was going to be: “A Battle for Eden,” in a way, and explaining that the valley where we find Clarke at the end of Season 4 is it – and obviously, everyone’s going to want it.
The theme for the season, as he worded it, is clearly: Rebirth and second chances, not just for Clarke but for all these characters. Even so, Jason promised that, since this is The 100, “happily ever after is not easy,” and we were going to see all these characters struggle as they fought for a new beginning.
Lindsey, on the other hand, focused a lot on Raven’s guilt, since the reason Clarke is “dead” in her eyes, is because of Raven. So, in a way, “Raven feels a huge responsibility to save everyone because they already sacrificed themselves for her.”
The other interesting thing Lindsey teased and that she seemed really excited about was the Murphy/Raven dynamic. She clearly loves working with Richard, and she shared that “she really loves the way we play of each other and our dynamic,” and even went as far as to say that those two are either “loving each other or hating each other.”
We wonder which of the two will win out.
