The 100‘s Clarke Griffin has learned some tough life lessons since her disappearance into the woods all those months ago. She’s learned the world is bigger than she ever thought, that lose can happen at any time (looking at you Commander), and that even the ones you’re trying to protect can betray you. None of this would’ve been possible to pull off without the enchanting, ambitious, and talented Eliza Taylor, who plays Clarke.
We chatted with The 100 star Eliza Taylor at WonderCon where she discussed how Lexa’s death changed Clarke, her relentless nature, and the dark turn the show’s taken for her character. She’s been devastated, heartbroken, and is holding onto the hope that everything isn’t lost yet.
On a special note to Clexa shippers, Eliza feels like Clarke still has a chance on seeing the Commander again. She referred to the A.I. chip removed from Lexa’s neck and said, “Silver lining, so to speak, is that she’s (Lexa) in there somewhere. Like, Clarke really believes that now.”
She continued that line of thought by delving into Clark’s relief at Lexa still being in the chip because she’s got “so much other stuff to deal with and I (Clarke) need to know she’s not completely lost.”
Watch our full interview with Eliza Taylor below, where she discusses what comes after Lexa’s death, the strength her character exudes, and that pesky artificial intelligence A.L.I.E.! (She’s going to continue being a pain for sure.)
The 100 returns Thursday, March 31st @ 9/8c on The CW.
