’13 Reasons Why’ Renewed for Season 3

There are even more reasons why on the way.

Netflix has renewed its conversation-starting series 13 Reasons Why for a third season, it announced via video on the series’ official social media.

13 Reasons Why will return next year for a 13-episode Season 3. While showrunner Brian Yorkey is set to return, Katherine Langford (who played Hannah Baker) will not, the actress recently revealed.

“For me, we told Hannah’s story so fully in Season 1,” Langford said. “In a way, doing that scene in episode 13 [of Season 2], I’ve so often referred to it as it was the hardest scene because it’s the scene where I had to let her go. I think coming back this season was challenging because it was playing her but not really her.”

While there never seemed to be any doubt that 13 Reasons Why had more story to tell with the way they ended Season 3, Netflix has now made it official.

“What do we do now?” Justin Foley asked at the end of Season 2. Well, in 2019 we’ll find out.

13 Reasons Why Season 3 will air in 2019.
