Taylor Swift Talks Her Inspiration For ‘Blank Space’

Maybe it’s because of the new year that people are feeling like they need to just keep on giving. It’s not that we’re complaining about it – cause we aren’t at all. We’re actually enjoying all of the giving that is happening and the latest gift from the Grammy Museum and Taylor Swift singing a stripped down version of “Blank Space”.

And as usual we get Taylor taking everything in stride.

“My first reaction was like, ‘This is a bummer. This isn’t fun for me,’” Taylor said in her performance at the Clive Davis Theater, “But then my second reaction ended up being like, ‘Hey, That’s a really interesting character they’re writing about. She jet sets around the world collecting men…then she traps them and locks them in her mansion, and then she’s crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls. So I was like, ‘I can use this.’”

We love how she takes it all in stride and just gives a good performance.

What do you think?

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
