After movie hit our screens only a couple of months ago, with the DVD version coming out in July, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Bringing our beloved tale of Hardin and Tessa’s love story to the screen was a long awaited journey for all of us who fell in love with Anna Todd’s words from those early days on Wattpad. And while the buzz from the first movie has barely ebbed, we were thrilled to learn that the second instalment, After We Collided, is already in the works, with author Anna Todd as a screenwriter.
After We Collided continues Tessa and Hardin’s story, after his devastating revelation. Their relationship is nothing if not tumultuous, but she could never have expected he would betray her this way. Tessa struggles to face the truth, desperate for some space that Hardin is reluctant to give. He isn’t going to go down without a fight, and he is fighting for her.
But he isn’t the only one captivated by Tessa. Once starting an internship at Vance Publishing, Tessa meets Trevor, a keen, charming and kind colleague who might be perfect for her. Expect her heart belongs to the boy who broke her.
Trevor is Afternators favorite enemy, known as ‘fucking Trevor’ through the series thanks to Hardin’s less than friendly references. And as After We Collided starts to get rolling, many of us are starting to wonder who will play the character. So, of course, we decided to compile our own list of possibilities.
Here are my top 5 options to play Trevor in After We Collided.
Jesse McCartney
This child star has done a little bit of everything. Television, soap operas, film, even music, there is virtually nothing that Jesse McCartney hasn’t mastered. With Emmy nominations for his role in All My Children, we know he can act, and time in the band Dream Street proves he can sing. What many may not know is that he has song writing credits under his belt, including Leona Lewis’ uber hit Bleeding Love. McCartney has a charming, kind look that fits the character of Trevor, and we can’t help but be curious to what he could bring to the role.
Dylan Sprouse
Another child star, along with twin brother and Riverdale star Cole, Dylan Sprouse is a Hollywood veteran. Known for his roles in Big Daddy with Adam Sandler, as Ben (Ross’s son) in Friends, and of course the long running Disney show The Suite Life, Dylan draws you in to any character he plays. Charismatic, brooding, and just play beautiful, it would be hard to actually dislike him and stay loyal to our Hessa hearts if Dylan did land the coveted role. But we have to admit we would love the chance to try!
Luke Benward
Luke Benward has a rugged charm that makes you look twice. That was certainly the case in his role of Jack in the Melissa McCarthy comedy Life of the Party, and as nice guy Bo in the Netflix hit Dumplin’. He comes from a long line of entertainers, with an actress mother, country singer father, and christian artist grandfather. He got his start in acting by tagging along with his mother to auditions, and suddenly found himself auditioning himself. Another actor with a well versed resume of television, film and more, Luke has the ability to bring a maturity to the role that may be enough to turn Tessa’s head. What do you think?
Freddie Stroma
Born in London England, this particular ‘Trevor’ possibility is one that you may not realize you’ve seen before. Does the line ‘My Father will hear about this’ ring a bell? For Harry Potter fans, it probably does. Yup, Freddie Stroma played non other than Cormack McLaggen. Stroma can also be seen in Game of Thrones as Dickon Tarly, and Pitch Perfect. A graduate of University College London with a degree in neuroscience, Stroma has looks and brains, making him a perfect Trevor prospect.
Lucas Till
This Texas native is no stranger to the big screen, or the small screen. With a leading roll in the current MacGyver remake, as well as X-Men Apocalypse, Hannah Montana and others, Till knows how to morph into any character that is needed. His southern charm mixed with that smile, you can almost see him as Trevor, the sweet, nice guy who always comes to Tessa’s rescue. Acting since the age of 11, with his first major role as Johnny Cash’s brother in Walk the Line, Lucas is a natural and a definite possibility in the role of Trevor.
What do you think of these Trevor options? There are countless incredibly talented actors who would dominate in the roll, and we want to know who you think should be cast. Let us know in the comments!
