5 Things We Learned About Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them at the Fan Q&A

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is coming out this November and we learned a lot in the fan event Q&A with the cast and producers!

At the fan event held for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, many of our more pressing questions were answered. But what was exciting about it was seeing the cast and crew and how excited they were about the upcoming movie.

So we’re going to cover what are the five most amazing things we learned from the Q&A. And trust us, they’re pretty amazing things.

1. We are getting five movies now

Originally, the series was slotted for three movies. No one knew where it would go, just that we would get a trilogy. After the Q&A, we learned that we will get at least five movies. Where will those five films take us? Will we get to see our favorite professors as younger witches and wizards? Who knows, but at least we know we are getting five more installments to the Harry Potter series.

2. The next movie is in a different city

David Yates wouldn’t tell us which city we were getting next but he did tell us that we are getting a new one. They announced that every film (at least currently) will take place in a new city. Maybe next we’ll see 1930s Paris or some other beautiful city or maybe they’ll show us a city we don’t really know about.

Wherever it may be, we’re excited for it.

3. J.K Rowling frequented the set.

The cast geeked out a bit when talking about J.K Rowling. They expressed their love of the series and its creator and when she surprised everyone by showing up, the cast was just as excited as the audience. Eddie Redmayne even talked about how her set visits were.

He said it was special standing in front of her and knowing that he was now part of the world now. Especially since he had said time and time again about how he felt like the only ginger left out of being a Weasley.

4. Grindelwald and Dumbledore will be featured

Yates and the cast also admitted that Dumbledore and Grindelwald will be ‘featured’ in the first film and we’re hoping we see them later in the series. All of us want a young Dumbledore casting spells and doing his best to prevent the first wizarding war. So hopefully they’re going to give it to us.

It seemed as if they were telling us that we’ll see the two in later movies but for this one, all we know is that they are ‘featured’. What that means, we don’t know. We’ll have to wait until November to find out!

5. Eddie Redmayne loves Harry Potter just as much as we do

It was very clear as the event went on that Eddie was just so excited to be a part of this world. He was joyous and loved talking about the set and it made us all so much more excited to see him as Newt.
