8 Body Positive Instagrammers You Should Be Following

I’ve been thinking a lot about body positivity lately and people that I can admire because they accept who they are, love who they are, and share that journey with us.

This week I head into surgery to have my gastric sleeve converted to a gastric bypass, and I have to admit I am not feeling too positive. Two years after my surgery, I am down over 200 pounds, but complications have made me put back on 15 pounds, excessive pain, and wondering if I will ever love my body.

But the truth is what I have learned is that bodies are a temple. What you put into them is important, but how you treat your body is equally as important. You need to find the ways to love it, to listen to it, to accept it. And that’s why people who are positive, who showcase the ups and downs, who make me believe in more are important.

So lets talk about some body positive Instagrammers that you should be following.

1 – NearAndChar

She’s full of realness, positivity, and fashion. But what I also love about her is that she shows how much she values her friendships, she seems to believe in every product she posts, and her feed never feels salesy. It feels relatable.

2 – nataliemeansnice

Natalie is fashionable and fun. She cares about her audience and shuts down the stereotypes at every turn. I admire her openess to the world around her.

3 – huntermcgrady

Yes, I am fully aware that she’s a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. But look, I am not intimidated by what one does, I accept that from anyone at any size, as a reminder that there are no dreams too big and too small. Hunter never feels like she’s forcing anything down your throat. She’s living her life and encouraging you to live yours.

4 – AlexMichaelMay

She may be one of my favorite people in the world, so I may be biased, but Alex gives the most amazing advice. Her feed is full of love, acceptance, and living your most fabulous life. Alex is accepting of who she is and encourages all people to love themselves. She is fashionable AF.

5 – GabiFresh

Gabi’s a lifestyle guru. She’s the OG fat girl and she embraces everything about herself. She can teach you all about acceptance.

6 – Tashopolis

I’ve known Natasha for years and I absolutely and I adore her. I’ve watched her grow and her confidence has always been something I admire. She’s so positive. She’s so giving. She’s someone who talks openly about everything and gives me faith and hope. I love her.

Make every moment magical 💖 even when you’re getting eaten alive by mosquitos at a mountain wedding and then have to go to the hospital for a severe allergic reaction 🤣 – I’M FINE. Thanks for all the concerned dms and tweets this week. I’ve never been bitten by these buggers before. I guess when you turn 25 everything goes down hill from here. – But seriously, my friend’s wedding last weekend was GORGEOUS. I got to do @marissaelizabethco hair and makeup, thank you for trusting me to do so! Felt like a Disney Princess taking this photo! 8 – Callie Thorpe

Callie is one of my favorite people on Instagram. She talks about everything. She stands up for everything. Her posts make you feel like you are watching your best friends life. She legit doesn’t care what people think, she’s comfortable in her own skin and makes me remember I am worth being comfortable in my own.

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
