It’s time to give Ken Scott a partner in the upcoming adaptation of the After series. Played by the iconic Peter Gallagher, Ken is the father figure of moody, mercurial Hardin Scott, love interest and antagonizer of heroine Tessa Young, engaged to the mother of Tessa’s best friend Landon. A tangled web, but perfectly executed by author Anna Todd.
Today, in the latest of After casting news, stunner Jennifer Beals will be playing the role of Karen.
Best known for the classic Flashdance, Beals is an acting icon. I was fortunate enough to interview her for Fangirlish last year, and she was elegant, smart and charismatic unlike anyone I have encountered. Her grace will be the perfect fit for the motherly and sweet character of Karen. Additional credits includes Showtimes The L Word, to which she gained an NAACP Image Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
With Hollywood heavy hitters taking on roles in this film, we can’t wait to see the final product when it hits screens in April 2019!
