Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. SDCC Interview: Chloe Bennet and Elizabeth Henstridge

The end of season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. left us with many questions regarding our favorite agents and the turns they were taking. We sat down with Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson) and Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons) at the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) to discuss their characters and what they wish for next season.

Of course the first question that we had to ask was about Fitzsimmons and whether we can expect more romantic moments next season, Elizabeth Henstridge said that she hopes there will be but they have only done one day of shooting so she is not sure yet, but she thinks will get to see them in a relationship and see what side of the line ethically they fall on with regards to certain issues because the stakes are high with them and they have given up a lot to be together so it will be interesting to watch them navigate their relationship. Chloe Bennet joked that the Fitzsimmons sex scenes would be similar to what one would see on Game of Thrones.

About Daisy’s state of mind, Bennet said, “she’s in a darker place, she lost someone really important to her” commented on the death of Lincoln in the season 3 finale. Every time that Daisy has gotten close to someone something happened so she is dealing with that. She also noted that Daisy has this guilt encompassing her and she feels like she is punishing herself by staying alone.

Bennet also confirms that the person that she knows nearby who loves animals that she mentioned in the season three finale was her father, Cal/Mr. Hyde.
