#Arrow 3×15 Trailer Breakdown: Welcome to Nanda Parbat

“You tasted death, and you wanted more.”

Well, Ra’s al Ghul certainly knows how to set the mood and terrify the hell out of me.

In the trailer for next Wednesday’s all-new episode of Arrow, Malcolm Merlyn is about to face justice as he winds up in the hands of Ra’s al Ghul. Oh, the things Ra’s is going to do to him. I’m already a major fan of this episode.

But I’m not a fan of Oliver throwing himself back in the path of Ra’s al Ghul, who nearly killed him the last time they battled. And if his greeting to Oliver wasn’t enough to scare the hell out of me, that blade to his throat is.

All because Oliver is convinced that he needs Malcolm to eventually defeat Ra’s, he and Diggle set off to Nanda Parbat to…save Merlyn?

“You spent years training to bring a bow and arrow to a sword fight.”

Of course. This is Oliver Queen we’re talking about. What the hell else did you think he’d bring? And that sword didn’t work out so well the last time. Just saying. (Love you, baby).

Meanwhile, Ray Palmer suits up as The Atom, which we’re sure is going to be as effective as Laurel first suiting up as Black Canary was, which is to say not so well.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, here’s how we’ll be feeling after the episode according to Stephen Amell:

Let’s do this!

Here are three things from the trailer that have us buzzing:

1. Let’s take a trip to Nanda Parbat.

Honestly, I never thought I’d see the day where Oliver Queen comes running to Malcolm Merlyn’s rescue. A rescue that puts him in the crosshairs of Ra’s al Ghul, who thought he’d killed Oliver before learning he’d survived. With that said, I also never thought we’d see the home of the League of Assassins so soon this season. Whatever happens (so long as Oliver and Diggle come out unscathed, I don’t care what happens to Malcolm), it’s going to be epic.

2. The A.T.O.M. makes his debut.

Add another masked vigilante to Starling City’s resume. Ray Palmer is set to make his debut as the Atom this week after some finishing touches on his suit, thanks to Felicity. But what does Ray plan to do? Is this a tease? Does he merely finish his suit and try it on like some window shopper? Or does he make his way out into the field while the Arrow is paying a visit to Nanda Parbat? Will Felicity serve a similar role as she does to Oliver and Team Arrow to Ray? Where is this Atom storyline going?

3. Malcolm is going to pay.

I’m not Ra’s al Ghul’s No. 1 fan considering he’s the reason Oliver was “dead” to his team and to his future wifey, but now that the scum that is Malcolm Merlyn is at Ra’s mercy, I’ll admit I’m a fan. Let’s be real, we all know Malcolm is going to get himself out of there (he is called the Magician), but at least Ra’s will make him suffer and put the fear of God into him for the time being. The question is how does Malcolm wind up in Ra’s clutches? Does the League come for him? Does someone turn him over? Is it something else entirely?

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
