Arrow introduced several new characters this season, and we’ll be seeing a lot more of two of the newbies come season 6.
Rick Gonzalez (Rene Ramirez aka Wild Dog) and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake aka the new Black Canary) have been promoted to series regulars for Arrow‘s sixth season.
Gonzalez made his debut in the season 5 premiere as vigilante Rene Ramirez, aka Wild Dog. Wild Dog was one of the new recruits brought in by Oliver and Felicity. His role has grown more significant as the season progressed, which also included an episode featuring flashbacks that provided some context about Rene’s past.
Harkavy is the newest character on the show, who made her debut in the midseason premiere as metahuman Dinah Drake, who is taking over the mantle of Black Canary — complete with a supersonic cry.
Katie Cassidy, who was a series regular since season 1 until her character’s untimely death in season 4, was also added as a series regular for season 6. Cassidy will play the villainous Black Siren, the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance.
Arrow was renewed for season 6 back in January.
Arrow returns with all-new episodes on April 26 at 8/7c on The CW.
