This week on The Blacklist in “Philomena” Kaplan moves to the next stages of her plan to take down Red. She’s told the authorities about all of the bodies that Red has been hiding at the ice rink, and they can now be used to incriminate him. Every one of those bodies tells the story of at least a part of his past and what he did to create his criminal empire.
But she’s not just ramping up her fight against Red, she’s going after the task force and anyone who is on Red’s side as well. If I was Ressler, Samar, Aram, or Cooper I would be furious about getting dragged into a fight I had no part in. This fight is about Kate “betraying” Red to help Liz fake her death and Red carrying out her near execution for it. It is between the two of them and everyone else should be left alone.
One thing that I’m extremely excited for is that it looks like Ressler is getting another side story! From the synopsis it says that Ressler faces a moral dilemma when an old friend asks him to take on a new assignment. You can see him meeting with this friend from the photos in the gallery. I have no idea what this assignment could be, but I can’t wait to see what effect it has on Ressler and what it does for his character development.
Check out the gallery and read a snyopsis of “Philomena” below to get prepared for tonight!
The task force chases a bounty hunter employed to go after Red’s closest associates; Ressler takes on a new assignment with a former colleague.
The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
