The summer is almost over, blindspotters, and while that depresses us, the good news is that season 4 of our favorite show is getting closer! With the date approaching, we figured it was time to talk about everything we want the new season to give us. Here we go!
Romi
Although the end of the previous season, with a new reboot of Jane’s character and all that implies, wasn’t to my liking, what’s done is done. Now, in the new season, I think that viewers deserve to get to know Romi separate from her past, all while we see her reacting to the memories of her own life as Jane. We need to get to know her so we can feel that confusion of feelings that she will surely have when that happens, and so we can be even more invested in how she becomes Jane again. It will be interesting and I hope they explore that in the next season.
Tasha and Blake’s redemption
These two characters took a turn towards the very notorious darkness and both must redeem themselves. I’m sure that Blake’s remorse is going to come out, she’s not a murderer but she killed Roman and she’s going to have to deal with what that means. She must forgive herself and try to repair the damage … although I fear it will be like trying to repair a broken toy … the pieces can be put back in place, but they will never be as before.
Something similar happened with Tasha, after her turn to darkness, she must find her way back, find who she really is and return to being who she has always been, not the empty shell she became.
Jeller
The return of Romi makes it so Jeller must be one of the strengths of season 4. Romi hates Kurt and everything he defends, but Jane lives inside the same Remi and she loves him. This juxtaposition of feelings and personalities leads to an interesting conflict in our favorite couple. I’m sure Romi will at first pretend to Kurt, but then start remembering their moments together and her feelings will get confused … I wonder, can Romi also fall in love with Kurt, or will she push away Jane’s feelings for him? What do you think?
Rapata
After the ups and downs of the previous season, Tasha and Reade deserves some prominence to see their evolution. It has been a constant “yes but then no” with them and in season 4 we deserve to see the reconstruction of the couple from the foundations – once the character of Tasha has also been reconstructed – and also see them, finally, find themselves on the same page.
Patterson and Ritch
It is inevitable to always want more of these two wonderful characters! Especially together, because they are the bomb! We need them in our lives and I really hope that in the next season, the show will give them a plot at their level.
Jane
Besides Romi, Jane must also appear at some point soon. I can’t wait to see that conflict of identities within the same character, the way in which Jane and her memories will be imposed on Romi and her ideas. I’m sure Romi will feel Jane pressing on her head and in her heart, making her feel confused, insecure … and I have no doubt that Romi will want to crush what’s left of Jane, like an annoying insect, but will not be able to dot it, in the end it will be Jane who wins the game, and will be something fascinating to watch.
Weller family
Bethany, Kurt, Avery and Jane/Romi are a quartet with a very special dynamic, especially now that Romi joins the equation with a disturbing and terrifying objective. That’s why we need to see moments of them in season 4. Surely that notion of family, a real family, will also be confusing and, at the same time, attractive to Romi. Also, I can’t stop thinking about Avery, she had already reunited with her mother and they were beginning to form a strong relationship … how will Romi feel about this? Will Avery notice that there is something wrong with Jane?
Good villain
A season as long as that of Blindspot should always have a charismatic and strong villain that leads to a round conclusion in the season finale. Season 4 of the show will need just that. While it is true that Romi will be the villain, I doubt she will be during the whole season, I see her more as a villain for half the season, do you agree? In any case, be it Romi or any other person, we need a memorable villain.
Roman
I miss Roman so much! I know it’s impossible, that my poor baby is dead … but I want to see him more than once in season 4. With Romi back he presents a wonderful opportunity to recover Roman through flashbacks of Romi herself or even Jane, and I hope they take advantage of that opportunity.
Female friendships
The show has improved a lot on this point, but I can’t help but want more. We need more moments among the girls supporting, talking, venting and kicking ass together.
