We’re ready to carpe the hell out of this diem at BookCon!
BookCon announced that it will be featuring a Darkest Minds panel, which will include author Alexandra Bracken and Amandla Stenberg, who plays Ruby in the upcoming movie adaptation. The two ladies will be discussing the upcoming film and the books that inspired it.
The Darkest Minds panel will take place on Saturday, June 2 at 3:30 PM in the Goodreads Meet Up Room (Room 1E07) at the Javits Center.
Alexandra Bracken will talk with Amandla Stenberg about starring as Ruby in the upcoming summer film and everything that it entails.
In The Darkest Minds film, when teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities, they are declared a threat by the government and detained. Sixteen-year-old Ruby, one of the most powerful young people anyone has encountered, escapes her camp and joins a group of runaway teens seeking safe haven. Soon this newfound family realizes that, in a world in which the adults in power have betrayed them, running is not enough and they must wage a resistance, using their collective power to take back control of their future.
With Bracken’s spinoff series The Darkest Legacies on the horizon, here’s hoping we get some Zu-centered treats at the panel and BookCon!
The Darkest Minds film hits theaters Aug. 3.
