‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago P.D.’ & ‘Chicago Med’ Renewed at NBC

While we’ll be raging at NBC for the foreseeable future over the decision to ax Timeless after one season, there’s finally some good news from the folks at the network courtesy of our favorite shared universe on television.

NBC has renewed Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med for new seasons, according to TVLine.

Mark this as not-so-surprising news.

Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise has quietly cemented itself as one of network television’s most well-rounded franchises.

One surprise about this renewal news is that there wasn’t any news on the newest addition to the One Chicago franchise, Chicago Justice. But given Justice‘s success in its freshman run, as well as the thriving One Chicago universe, it seems all but a forgone conclusion that Justice will soon join its cousins for new seasons.

Chicago Fire will be returning for a sixth season, Chicago P.D. for a fifth season, and Chicago Med for a third season.
