The past comes knocking in the Jan. 12 episode of Chicago Med titled, “Heart Matters.”
In the episode, Maggie faces her past when a police officer that arrested her is brought in for treatment. Also, Halstead and Manning come face to face with consequences of past decisions when they have to defend their actions following a patient’s death.

MAGGIE CONFRONTS HER PAST WHEN A POLICE OFFICER WHO ARRESTED HER IS BROUGHT INTO CHICAGO MED – Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Charles’ (Oliver Platt) heart transplant patient gets into a car crash, revealing issues that could complicate her surgery. A past arrest causes trouble for Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) when the arresting officer is brought to Chicago Med with a serious injury. Elsewhere, Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) must defend their actions when explaining a patient’s cause of death. Meanwhile, Dr. Halstead attempts to treat an uncooperative horse jockey. S. Epatha Merkerson, Yaya DaCosta, Brian Tee and Rachel DiPillo also star. Kara Killmer, Amy Morton, Ato Essandoh and Eddie Jemison guest star.
