She’s just shy of two weeks away from the release of her sophomore Album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, and Danielle Bradbery has already released four unforgettable tracks. The album is due out on December 1 and Bradbery is already making waves. On Friday, November 10, Bradbery released the fourth promo single “Worth It” from her upcoming album and just like her others, this too has an empowering message.
Bathed with emotion and vulnerability, Bradbery speaks of heartache, conveying the idea that she’s been bruised but the heartache doesn’t keep her down. It gives her an opportunity to rise up, and that’s exactly what she does in “Worth It”. “Don’t tell me I’m too hard to please, that you’re too tired of fighting for me,” she sings in the opening line. “a real man knows what he signed up for and if you don’t then I’ll show myself the door.”
In “Worth It,” Bradbery showcases growth in her ability to convey emotion in her songwriting. But also, she’s not afraid to show the raw and vulnerable side of her, in which we have seen in her previous tracks “Sway,” “Potential” and “Hello Summer”. What’s most important in “Worth It” though is the empowering message behind it. She tells a story of showing herself to the door if a man doesn’t think she’s good enough because she knows she is. For every girl, young and old, the message is timely and important. Bradbery can teach us how to dance in her lead single “Sway,” but she also has a keen ability to empower others in her most vulnerable moments.
I Don’t Believe We’ve Met will be available everywhere on December 1st.
