If there is any television show that we are waiting for (besides Roswell) it would be Legacies. Why? Because we miss The Vampire Diaries and we’re accepting the end of The Originals.
But we’re going to get to keep them alive. Sort of.
Hope and Alaric. The Salvatore School. Sign us up. Danielle Rose Russell, who plays Hope, on The Originals, talked about the upcoming spin-off.
“I’m really excited to continue Hope’s story, there is a lot to tell with her and her character. I’ve already read the first episode of Legacies and I love the tone it’s taking,” she told ET.
Danielle adds that, “Legacies is its own show and it takes on a younger twist to the supernatural world. It’s like an X-Men meets Hogwarts [Harry Potter], a much different vibe than what you’ve seen in both shows.”
We’re excited for the possibilities.
But what about The Originals. What is left in the final episodes?
“Hope is known for being a mysterious being in this universe. Someone that no one has ever seen before. I think a lot of people fail to realize that there is a 15-year-old girl who is behind that, and who is very human too and is going through a lot right now,” Russell teased. “She’s very loving and very caring and only wants to do the best she can. But, of course, she’s going to make mistakes along the way, like anyone does — especially when you’re that age. Unfortunately, the consequences of her mistakes have cost her a lot more. There’s a lot to her; there are many different sides to her, and you’ll see whether or not she’s the downfall or savior of New Orleans.”
We’re down. After all, we believe in always and forever.
