The D23 conference in Anaheim, California was chock full of news, from the MCU to the Star Wars universe. And even though we didn’t get much Star Wars news when it came to Disney +, we got some pretty sweet details on when Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns, the first look at The Mandalorian, and more!
1.The first trailer for the Mandalorian has arrived!
The first live-action Star Wars TV series tells the story of the warriors that came after Jango and Boba Fett. It’s set before the First Order and after the fall of the empire. Feeling like an old western, The Mandalorian delivers in epic fights with Pedro Pascal in the lead role.

2. Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns February 2020.
Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy announced at the Disney + panel that this story is far from over. Now, in a Disney + exclusive return we’ll get an opportunity to tie up lose ends and explore new ones!

3. An Obi-Wan series is actually happening.
Even better, it’s happening with Ewan McGregor, the actor who played him in previous films. It’s the epitome of perfect casting and McGregor seems to be excited to return to the Star Wars universe. During the announcement at the Disney + event, he told the crowd that it was “so nice” to finally being able to tell someone about returning to the Star Wars verse.
EXTRA – Cassion Andor-centered Prequel
Even though we didn’t get much news about this show, the Cassian Andor-centered prequel series is a go with Diego Luna. It doesn’t have an official title but Alan Tudyk is set to return as K-2SO and filming will begin next year.
