And the news keeps streaming in from San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) and Marvel Studios decide to make an entire event of it at Hall H with presentations around some of their upcoming films – including Black Panther.
They first introduced the importance of Black Panther/T’Challa in the Marvel universe with a featurette of his role in Captain America: Civil War:
Head of Marvel Entertainment, Kevin Feige, welcomed to the stage – director Ryan Coogler, Chadwick Boseman who plays T’Challa/Black Panther, Creed’s Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, 12 Years a Slave’s Lupita Nyong’o as Naika, and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira as Okoye.

Jordan’s Killmonger will be the villain of film while Nyong’o’s Naika also doubles up as the villainous Malice. Gurira’s Okoye is the head of T’Challa’s personal guards called the Dora Milaje.
