‘Filthy Preppy Teen$’ is the Prep School Parody of Our Dreams – Watch the Trailer

By

There’s something about a private school setting that makes for addicting entertainment. From Gossip Girl to Pretty Little Liars, the lifestyles of the young, rich, and famous are simply irresistible. With fabulous outfits, fast cars, hot hookups, and plenty of drama, what’s not to love? That said, we’re not sure we’re ready to fill the Gossip Girl-shaped hole in our hearts… but a parody of the prep school drama, gorgeous cast, enviable fashion, and all sounds right up our alley. Enter: Filthy Preppy Teen$.

Filthy Preppy Teen$ is a satire from the minds of Paul Scheer, Jonathan Stern, and Curtis Gwinn, which actually originated as a short on Adult Swim (under the name Filthy Sexy Teen$). The new series has maintained some of the same plot points – like a student who transforms into a monster and a straight male student who pretends to be gay to gain popularity points… you know, normal high school stuff. However, apart from Hannah Kasulka and Chris Parnell, most of the cast consists of new additions – including one of our Teen Wolf favorites, Max Carver, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Dylan Gelula.

The show will be one of the original series premiering on the new streaming platform Fullscreen, which launches Tuesday, April 26. Get your first look at Filthy Preppy Teen$ with the trailer below, which debuted yesterday on Entertainment Weekly.

If the trailer is anything to go by, Filthy Preppy Teen$ will be outrageous, irreverent fun with the excessive lifestyles (and excessive drama) we loved about Gossip Girl – plus a whole lot more laughs. We can’t wait to see what this show has in-store.

Filthy Preppy Teen$ premieres exclusively on Fullscreen on Tuesday, April 26.
