Doctor Who is my favorite show. I used to spend hours upon hours in the weeks before a premiere analyzing every single second of the seasons trailer. I would even come up with my own farfetched theories on the season (Melody Pond anyone? I called it). So I (like most Whovians) am stupidly excited for this September’s premiere of the new season of Doctor Who. Here are my top five life lessons from the new trailer:
The Doctor teaches us that every single life is important. No matter what, it doesn’t matter. I think I distinctly remember the Doctor saying something like this in “A Christmas Carol”: “Nobody important? Blimey, that’s amazing. Do you know, in nine hundred years of time and space I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before.” Don’t ever let anyone think their not worthy of life because they are.
You Don’t Need A Plan To Win
Does the Doctor ever have a plan? No, he never has a plan and he always wins.
Keep Your Friends Close
This is a given. Your friends will always be their to help you when your in a sticky situation. The Doctor probably wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for Clara.
Sometimes People From Your Past Will Come Back
That ex-boyfriend from the 11th grade? You might run into him at Walmart at five in the morning. That girl who used to call you names in 6th grade might show up in your PHIL 101 class. But it’s alright, it might be awkward for awhile but guess what they’ve probably changed and you have too!
This one’s simple, who would want to live a normal life when they could be a badass? The answer is: nobody.
Are you as excited for the new season of Doctor Who as I am?? Sound off in the comments!
