Well, we knew it was coming. It’s time to go to “Eastwatch.”

May the odds be ever in our favor. Or, in Tormund’s favor.

Ever since the first episode, when Jon asked Tormund to take the wildlings and go protect Eastwatch-by-the-Sea we’d had a feeling this was in the cards, and though the episode pictures don’t spoil anything of the scene in the North – of course, the name of the episode is enough to make us worry.

After all, a big battle with the white walkers has to be in the cards for this season. We already saw some of it in the season promo. It makes sense that it will take place at Eastwatch, and it also makes sense to think we’ll loose some of our favorites there.

I’m trying to make my peace with it. It’s just …hard.

Before we get there, though, we’ll see Sam probably leave Oldtown, Cersei probably get news of Jaime’s demise (I don’t for a moment believe he’s actually dead), the Lannister army surrender to Daenerys and Jon come face to face with Drogon and probably have another charged conversation with Daenerys.

Plus, if he’s to join in the fight at Eastwatch we assume someone will have to let him know what’s going on – and hopefully that someone will be Sansa, and hopefully she’ll also include news of the Stark reunion.

Hopefully.

Either way, it sounds like we’re in for another insane episode. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9/8c on HBO.
