‘How to Get Away With Murder’ 4×10 Review: Everything We Did Was For Nothing

By

On this week’s episode of How To Get Away With Murder, we see Annalise unfolding into her manipulative ways to further her agenda in freeing Laurel from the hospital.

There’s no surprise that everyone is trying their best to help get Laurel out of the hospital and her baby back. But it takes some hard work and persuading to make that happen.

Following the aftermath of what went down in last week’s episode, Annalise is making it her mission to save this baby from the arms of Laurel’s conniving and horrible father. Even if it means that it’s time for her to make some amends with Bonnie.

I haven’t seen a toxic relationship quite similar to Bonnie and Annalise’s. It’s a been a hot mess and Bonnie has been feeling very petty lately when it comes to Annalise.

But truth be told, she just wanted a sincere apology. If that’s what it takes to get Annalise to the next step in dealing with this whole situation, then that’s what Annalise decides to do. That whole conversation was a bit uncomfortable, but it was also something that had been discussed. At the end of the day, Bonnie loves Annalise and she just really wants that same affection and caring feeling from her. I was growing a little tired of their childish ways of getting all nasty with each other, but now Bonnie can help Annalise in taking down Denver which we find out that he has a close connection to Laurel’s father.

It’s like Laurel’s father has his eyes everywhere, monitoring everyone’s next move. This man is clever, but eventually, he won’t be as clever as Annalise always has.

Oliver is getting on my nerves now. I don’t understand why he’s getting mad and blaming Annalise in all of this while he BEGGED to be apart of the team. You should have known better, quit with the whining. His moral conscious compared to everyone else’s is on two different ends right about now. I feel like he’s going to accidentally spill something to the authorities and get himself in a lot of trouble if he doesn’t get himself together.

Frank can’t seem to let go of Dominic’s cell phone but I guess him keeping it with him until now has become another piece to the puzzle. We find out that the person that has been calling that phone is actually Laurel’s mother. Go figure. What does that mean now?

I think there is more to the story with the dynamic that circles Laurel, Wes, and Dominic. Especially given that voicemail, Wes sent to Dominic before he died. He mentioned his name as Christophe instead of Wes. Strange.

I don’t know what to believe anymore, but there are theories going around in which people think Wes is actually…still alive.

That will be a crazy twist making this whole storyline even more intriguing. Not to mention, wild. But the bits of nostalgia we got in this episode of Wes made me miss him more. I wasn’t a big fan of him at the beginning of the show, but I guess when they’re really gone, you really start to miss them.

Anyway, this whole episode becomes more of a build up for future drama and chaos, which made some parts of it slow as far as the pacing goes. We have 5 more episodes left of this season, so eventually, things will start to fall into place.
