‘Girl Meets World’ Renewed For Third Season

Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Farkle are headed to high school!

Disney Channel has renewed Girl Meets World for a third season, the network announced in a press release on Wednesday.

The spinoff of ABC’s cult classic Boy Meets World focuses on Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley and her adventures, much like the original centered around Cory and his life lessons. The show’s second season has addressed important storylines like bullying, autism, and forgiveness. Season three will find the gang in a whole new world: high school.

“Michael Jacobs has one of the most authentic voices in television today,” executive vice president of programming Adam Bonnett said in a release. “He and the entire ‘Girl Meets World’ team will not only continue to entertain families but also help kids discover who they are and who they want to be in this world.”

Production on season three of Girl Meets World will begin in January and season three will premiere in spring 2016.

You can catch Girl Meets World Fridays at 8:30/7:30c on Disney Channel.
