On Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Episode 4, we get a look at alot happening. This season is starting off great, it definitely is bringing back feels of the earlier seasons. I hope it stays that way.
NO MORE LOVE TRIANGLES– I’m tired of it, we’re all tired of it
Meredith is tired of the love triangles because not only was she raised in one, but she was apart of one when she first met Derek, so her not wanting to go through it again seems plausable. I would get tired of it too. I love how Meredith is always herself, she stays true to herself even when life throws so much at her. Even when she has a hard time showing her emotions, she lets it out one way or another. This time she was able to with her former psychiatrist but current patient.
Some may disagree with me on this one and same may not, but I was just not feeling Meredith and Riggs together. It just didn’t feel right to me. Riggs always came off as a pushy guy and he just wanted Meredith “so bad”. I just couldn’t see the spark between them two last season.
I tried giving it a shot. I was relieved with Meredith telling him to fight for Megan. I thought it was so honest of her, I just love that.
Shoot, she wouldn’t even think twice if it was Derek! But you can tell that she wants the best for Riggs and Megan was his true love. Derek was “dead” and Megan was “presumably dead”, there is a huge difference. She’s back now, go get her!
Maybe it’s because I’m not a fan of them two that the idea of him going back to Megan gets me a little excited. Meredith is doing just fine, with or without Riggs. There I said it.
IT’S A TUMOR
With this avoidable love triangle causing up a stir at Grey Sloan Memorial, we deal with the revelation of Amelia’s 10 centimeter tumor.
The thing I appreciated about this episode is that the writers didn’t prolong the reveal of her tumor to Owen and Meredith in more episodes to come. Yes, for not dragging it out! Why need that anyway? It makes the season much more intriguing, if you ask me.
I’ve been rough with my views of Amelia over these past few seasons, I just couldn’t like her as much as I did with the other characters. I know she’s had a bad past and she was trying to get better. But everything she’s been doing just spoke otherwise. But maybe know I get why. All the erotic behaviors, her jumping on impulse in surgeries and what not…it might have actually been the tumor making her like that all along.
But I’m glad that she has Owen and Meredith on her side now. I’m glad that they know now than later. It’s moments like these on Grey’s Anatomy that get you teary-eyed. A medical illness on a character will always have you feeling some type of way.
Speaking of feeling some type of way. Harper Avery? NOT the best guy in town. Man is he grumpy. Err, or shall I say WAS grumpy. That sudden death was rather odd but a little comedic and random. But like, he literally fired Bailey before passing away in that chair!
He only said it and no one else besides Catherine knows that he said it, so this still means Bailey still has her job, right? Right.
Bailey has grown a lot over the seasons and she still manages to be in charge so well no matter all the challenges that she faces. Being Chief isn’t easy, and just because you’re a woman does NOT mean you put all your emotions and feelings in your work. What Harper Avery said that to Bailey, it bothered me. Bailey’s a bad-ass, she’s always got this!
- Another Jo and Alex reunion, another smile on my face. YES TO A BETTER SEASON FOR ALEX KAREV THIS SEASON!
- Carina is a little kinky, you guys.
- I honestly don’t know where the writers are trying to go with Jackson and Maggie. What is you doooing? They are STEPSIBS. Practically siblings. Family. We don’t need it to be awkward than it already is.
