Guest Post: Jill Monroe Talks About Her Upcoming Lifetime Movie!

“Hey, is there a secret you might want to share?”

That’s the question my best friend Gena Showalter asked me on Twitter. A few weeks ago, Harlequin and Lifetime Movie Network officially announced my book, The Wrong Bed: Naked Pursuit had been made into a movie and will air June 2nd. One of the things I was looking forward to was spotting the movie on and on the last Thursday in May it happened. There, in blue, was my name with a clickable link. Only when I clicked, it didn’t link to me, but to a soft core porn star also named Jill Monroe.

So no, I did not star in Centerfold Fever, Sensuous Caterer or even Consenting…Adults.

“Would it hurt your feelings if I told you that’s the funniest thing I heard today?” Gena asked. And then HelenKay Dimon.

“Sorry, that made me laugh. But sure, we can take care of that,” my agent, Deidre Knight assured

So what did you do when you found out your book was being made into a movie? Mostly telling everyone I didn’t have a side job appearing naked.

Okay, I do have to admit it it is kind of funny. Except to my mom. She’s not laughing.

Other than that small mishap, these last few weeks waiting for The Wrong Bed: Naked Pursuit to air has been a blast. Although I guess I deserve the torment, I do sit around most days devising ways to torture my characters. For instance, Stella and Owen wake up naked, handcuffed together with no memory how they got that way. Ah, sweet, sweet trouble.

One of my favorite things is that I get to share all this with so many friends, authors and readers. And if you think that means party – you’re right. The day before the movie comes out, 30 amazing authors will be joining me on Facebook with fun and giveaways!!! Check it out here:

I will be live tweeting the movie on June 2nd, and would love for you to join me. You can follow on with me on Twitter – @JillMonroe #nakedpursuit

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
