Harry Styles by Harry Styles is Truly Something Magicly Delicious

We’ve waited and waited and finally the time has come: Harry Styles by Harry Styles is here for all us fans to enjoy and cry over for years to come.

If you’re someone like me, you’ve been a fan of One Direction since they began. More specifically, if you’re me you were the oldest fan at the One Direction concert that wasn’t a parent of a teenage girl. No really, I was in college and probably the oldest fan in the auditorium.

But I was never really a Harry girl. This is important information because I have now changed my tune. I was always a Louis Tomlinson fan and thought that I would never utter the words “I love Harry Styles the most” yet here I am.

Basically this album is so good that I went from being okay with Harry to his biggest fangirl. That’s the power it has. It makes you fall in love with everything Harry Styles has to say. (Okay that’s dramatic but really, just listen to it. It’s so good.)

“Meet Me in the Hallway”

The true indie darling that it is, “Meet Me in the Hallway” has us wishing it was raining so we can enjoy it on a wonderful record player. Which is truly the feel for most of this album. Really, Harry is an old soul and it is reflected in each of these songs.

“Sign of the Times”

This is our first introduction to Harry as a solo artist and was the song that had us all excited for the release of this album. If only we knew that this was just the beginning of what would end up being a pretty flawless first record.

“Carolina”

The Beatles are performing once again in the way of Harry Styles. And this isn’t just a me opinion because multiple news sources have been saying the same thing about “Carolina”. It is very reminiscent of the early days of the Beatles and is just a fun song to listen to.

“Two Ghosts”

Hands down the best song on the album. “Two Ghosts” is pretty depressing so be prepared when you go into this one but it truly is an amazing song. “We’re not who we used, we’re just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me.”

It’s just a really pretty song. There isn’t anything profound to say about it other than you just need to hear it.

“Sweet Creature”

When this song was released, the internet assumed it was about Louis Tomlinson but that is the internet and we don’t really know who this song is about. But we do know that it is beautiful and whoever it is about is lucky. “Oh when we started, just two hearts in one home.”

“Only Angel”

This is when the album takes quite a bit of a turn. Everything up to this point could probably be seen in an indie movie when the character is having an emotional revelation. This song makes you want to jump up and down at a rock concert and would probably be in some Netflix show.

It’s pretty much a normal rock song and one that will definitely be a fan favorite at his concerts. That is, if you managed to get tickets.

“Kiwi”

“I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business.” This one has become a fun on the internet with this one. Especially with James Corden.

Because why is it none of our business? We may ever know but we sure do love jamming out to “Kiwi” even if it doesn’t make the most sense.

“Ever Since New York”

This one premiered on Saturday Night Live and is a pretty normal song. In the scheme of the album, it’s probably one of those that you just kind of shrug off. Which is wrong because this is a great song.

“Woman”

The beginning of this song sounds like something my mother would absolutely love so that’s probably why it’s my second favorite song on the entire album. To put it in the only way I know how, this song makes you want to slowly body roll as you’re listening to it. Don’t understand? Then maybe just listen to it. You won’t regret it.

“From the Dining Table”

This is one of the songs that doesn’t even sound like Harry but I’m into it. It probably isn’t going to be a fave for anyone but it is a really good song that many should listen to almost separately from the rest of the album to truly enjoy.

Should You Listen?

Yes, what are you doing still reading this. Go listen. It’s so good. Stop reading…You’re still reading, go away. Harry Styles is waiting for you.
