For anyone who has followed the phenom that is One Direction, they understand the frenzy that came with trying to snag those coveted concert tickets when they were on tour. The stress, the anxiety, the battling it out for the prime seats.
Well, this tradition has continued despite 1Ds hiatus, as Harry Styles world tour sells out in seconds, and sets a new record with ticket site, Ticketmaster
The entire 29 date tour sold out so quickly, countless fans were left without.
In an attempt to eliminate bots from buying up tickets for resale, Ticketmasters new Verified Fan initiative required fans to register ahead of time. And even of those fans, not all received the required code to access tickets when they went on sale. Those who did were not guaranteed tickets, as seven times as many people registered for tickets than were available.
For those lucky fans, it will undoubtedly be a show to remember. Choosing smaller, intimate venues gives them the close and personal vibe to Styles that was usually lacking during 1D shows.
For those fans who didn’t get tickets, don’t despair. Rumor has it that once the 7 day hold is over, any purchases deemed in violation of the ticket limit, or those found on resale sites will be revoked. There is a chance over the coming weeks that you MAY be able to snag a ticket…don’t hold me to it, but it is possible.
