He may have found his claim to fame with One Direction and his smooth, enticing voice, but in recent years Harry Styles has become equally as admired for his fashion choices as he is his vocal talents. Rubbing elbows with fashion elite in recent years, becoming the face of the most recent Gucci campaign, and wearing custom tailored Harry Lambert and Gucci attire on his solo world tour, it seems only logical that Styles finds his way even deeper into the fashion world.
Well, it seems that is about to happen, as Styles, Lady Gaga and Serena Williams set to co-chair the 2019 Met Gala. The theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion, derived from Susan Sontag’s 1964 Notes on Camp, is set to be the biggest in the events history. With Vogue icon Anna Wintour at the helm, each year a select few celebrities are hand picked to work at her side on the gala, and this years crop are well deserving of the honor.
The show will grace the fashion world May 6, with each co-chair holding their own place in the fashion culture. Lady Gaga is well known for her over the top choices, including the infamous meat dress of 2010, while Williams has recently started her own fashion line, with previous collaborations with Nike and others under her belt.
We can’t wait to see these stars, and countless others, grace the red carpet at one of the fashion industries biggest events.
2019 can’t get here fast enough!
