We’re going to be talking about this movie forever, because we know that it’s going to be amazing.

Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Angela Thomas (27 weeks on The New York Times young adult best-seller list), Fox 2000’s adaptation of THE HATE U GIVE begins principal photography in Atlanta on September 12, 2017, and will be released by Twentieth Century Fox.

That’s right! The Hate U Give has officially started production.

We’re ready for this.

If you aren’t familiar with the book – first, I encourage you to go out and get yourself a copy. The book is about Starr, a girl who came from a poverty stricken neighborhood, but now attends a prep school. She saw her best friend get gunned down by the police and must find the best way to speak out about the incident while gravitating both worlds.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET READING IT.

The Hate U Give was optioned by Fox 2000, Temple Hill and State Street in 2016. The book has spent 27 weeks on the New York Times young adult best-seller list. George Tillman, Jr. is set to direct.

Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg stars with Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Issa Rae, Common, Algee Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, Lamar Johnson, Anthony Mackie and Kian Lawley.

Head Bitch In Charge

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
