‘How To Get Away With Murder’ 4×15 Review: Top 9 Moments of ‘No One’s Dying Today’

By

Well, we just concluded another season of How To Get Away With Murder. Season 4 ends with the usual set of things when it comes to the way this show executes a finale: many questions answered, while new and more questions open up.

Though we have not been given a season 5 renewal just yet, the finale just paved the way to bringing about a whole different story into the show, which I’m glad about. The Wes story-line has been put to rest. (I hope)

However, there were some wild moments in this finale that stood out a lot. For a second there, it’s like everyone was happy? Uhhh…that’s not common for a show like this. But a minute or two of happiness doesn’t HURT, right?

Here are the top 10 moments from the season 4 finale:

1. Denver is The One That Died

Phew, that was a close one. How dare they make us believe that it might be Bonnie? No freaking way. But Denver’s death has Jorge written all over it. Jorge tapping into Bonnie’s phone and finding out that Denver had the drive all along is real motive to have him killed. Dang.

2. Annalise Makes a Deal with Jorge to Recant His Testimony Against Laurel

Annalise is not playing around when it comes to getting baby Christopher into his mother’s arms again. She’s been helping Laurel get her baby back all this time. Two can play the game by talking the talk, Jorge. Annalise can chew you up and spit you right out.

But, hey. it worked, didn’t it? You killed the love of her life and the father of her child, how can your daughter ever forgive you for this, Jorge?

3. Tegan Comes Through

Yes, Tegan did the right thing! I was afraid something bad was going to happen to her in the finale. She chose the RIGHT side and she got her immunity. She was stuck in the middle in all of this, but Annalise helped a sistah out before she ends up getting killed!

4. Bye Bye Jorge Castillo

I mean…it’s. about. time. Bye Jorge! Good riddance. I was tired of him. He royally effed up any chance he could get to reconciling with Laurel a long time ago. She finally put her foot down.

5. Michaela Calls ICE On Simon

Michaela went from badass to evil bish real quick. I’m not sure why she did that. Oh yeah, because she wants to save her ass. That was messed up, though. Yeah, Simon did not have the best qualities, but he did no harm to them. Just caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time. She’s desperately trying to be like Annalise. Well, the old Annalise if you ask me. If this is Michaela’s idea of re-branding herself into being an even more self-centered power hungry person…urgh, not really feeling this. Sorry.

6. Annalise’s Wins The Supreme Court Case

SO HAPPY. Annalise deserved it! Did you see her smile on her face?! This is what it feels like to be accomplished, proud, and satisfied. I’m glad they didn’t forget about this impactful event in the finale. Though it would have been cool if we saw it happen for real, instead of everyone crowded around the TV.

7. Laurel’s Mom is Still Missing

Où es-tu, Mrs. Castillo? Where are you?! You can’t have her disappear JUST like that!

8. Could Laurel Be Showing Signs of Mental Illness?

Alright, that shower scene felt too sketch for me. I’m wondering if Laurel actually did something to hurt her mother. Where did those scars come from? Is Laurel developing some kind of mental illness from her mother?

9. Who is Gabriel Maddox?!

Last but not least, we have a new mystery role opening the doors for what’s to come next season. Who are you, Gabriel Maddox?

Bonnie’s kid? Annalise’s kid? I don’t even know why I’m thinking it could be Annalise’s, we saw her baby already dead when she delivered him. And for Bonnie, maybe her father lied to her all these years? Ah, there are SO many questions. Also, the actor that is playing Gabriel is one fine looking fella!

We’ve got more questions now, which is to be expected! Here’s to hoping for a different direction for Season 5 (if renewed).

Other Thoughts:

  • Damn, Oliver really flunked out, huh? He better get re-admitted.
  • Asher was over the top annoying about the whole thing with Michaela.
  • Frank is going to law school! Making moves instead of making kills. Also, who did he call when he saw Gabriel?! Frank always has to know something everyone else doesn’t.
