Is A ‘Sweet Valley High’ Reboot In The Works?

In today’s day and age where it seems like all of our favorites are getting the revival treatment, including Boy Meets World and Full House, our lives have once again been made with this latest reboot news.

Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield might soon be returning to our television screens!

E! Online has learned that a Sweet Valley High reboot is in the works from none other than the twin actresses that starred in the original series, Brittany and Cynthia Daniel.

“There is some talk right now,” Brittany told E! Online. “We’re actually going to have some conversations with (author) Francine Pascal.”

The Daniel sisters are hoping to revive the series for the new generation.

“That series means so much to my sister and I and we want to bring that to our kids and the next generation,” Brittany said. “So it’s only natural for us to want to bring it back.”

Sweet Valley High was based on the book series of the same name by Francine Pascal, which ran for four seasons from 1994 through 1997.

Don’t play with our hearts like this. I don’t think we can take another bait-and-switch like with the Princess Diaries tease.
