We caught up with iZombie‘s executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about what’s coming up in the season 4 and the epic changes that are coming for our cast in the walled city of New Seattle.
For seasons it’s been about protecting Liv. She’s a zombie surrounded by people who care and love her so much that they’re willing to put everything on the line for her. Coming into season 4 we’ll be seeing their priorities change as the zombie secret is out and they have more to protect than their friend.
“Everybody’s got a horse in the race now,” Ruggiero-Wright explained, “So it’s going to be different dynamics where they’re all not serving to just protect Liv. They’re all kind of struggling to protect everybody and have a good life. It’s a lot more pressure for everyone involved.”
Additionally, two of our favorites will clash more than others and have a hard time coming to terms with the way that things have changed. We’re talking about Liv and Major.
“Major and Liv will be kind of at odds on where they fall politically, for a lack of a better term. He’ll be very pro Fillmore Graves and she’ll be doubtful of them so I think that’s gonna be hard on the friends.”
