‘Maze Runner’ Star Ki Hong Lee to Narrate the Latest in Cassandra Clare’s ‘Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy’

The people in charge of coordinating Cassandra Clare’s audiobooks do realize that the narrators just need a beautiful voice for the job, right? On second thought, nobody remind them. The latest Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy audiobook will feature another talented, beautiful narrator–this time, Maze Runner and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ki Hong Lee!

Ki Hong will narrate “Pale Kings and Princes,” the sixth installment in the Simon-centric short story collection. Here’s what the novella, co-written by Cassandra Clare and Robin Wasserman, is all about:

Simon has an encounter with Downworlders and is reprimanded for not following the rules for Academy students interacting with Downworlders. A story within a story: Andrew Blackthorn, while a student at the Academy, becomes enthralled by a faerie and has two children with her: Mark and Helen.

Cassandra Clare shared the news on her social media, saying:

More Cute Dark Haired Boys Read To You! Ki Hong Lee (from The Maze Runner and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) will be narrating PALE KINGS AND PRINCES, the newest installment of Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy. Can’t wait to hear it!

We are big fans of The Maze Runner and Ki Hong, and we can’t wait to see (or rather, hear) him make his audiobook debut!

If you’d like to read “Pale Kings and Princes” before (or after) listening to the audiobook, you can pre-order it here. The novella will be released on July 21, and we’re betting the audiobook will be released around the same time.

Are you excited to hear Ki Hong Lee narrate the latest in Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy?
