As we ended season 2, our Legends saved the day but the world had changed around them. Modern city streets were surrounded by 18th century technology and dinosaurs!
With Legends of Tomorrow joining its fellow DCTV shows for Comic-Con this July, we have some major questions to ask as season 3 comes closer and closer.
Here are just five questions we want answered at San Diego Comic Con about season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow :
1.How badly damaged is time due to what happened in the season 2 finale?
Having gone back in time to save Vixen and disrupting their own timeline was bound to have consequences for the team. What we didn’t expect was to see dinosaurs mixed in with 1800s London smack dab in the middle of LA. How much more of time has been damaged due to the team’s actions in the season 2 finale? Anachronisms are affecting time and I don’t even know what a anachronism is! And the even more important question is : Can they fix it?
2. What’s up with Rip Hunter and the Time Bureau?
The official synopsis for season 3 says that Rip Hunter returns as part of a new group called “The Time Bureau”.
*”After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time traveling heroics, Sara wastes no time in getting the Legends back together.”
Now we don’t know how many episodes Arthur Darvill will be in this upcoming season but this sounds like it will lead to a conflict between the Legends and the Bureau. Which side will Rip be on when we get the major confrontation between the two groups we are all expecting?
3. What new characters will join the team?
As always , expect new team members to join the Waverider this season. Already announced for one role is new member Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a muslim-american superhero from the year 2030. Rumors have her playing Isis but we hope to know more about her role at SDCC. Another new team member has yet to be named but it is said they will be a original hero not seen in either the comics or any of the Arrowverse shows. Who will the newly created hero/Legend be?
4. Will we see new love pairings on the team?
Every season we see some love combos on the team whether it was Ray and Kendra in season 1 (Also including the Captain Canary ship, as well). Season 2 brought together Nate and Amara. What pairings will we see this season? Caity Lotz has highly been in favor of Sara getting a new love. Who will she or he be?
5. Will we see old favorites like Captain Cold and Hawkgirl again?
One thing fans are always wondering is if we will see returning favorites from shows past. Captain Cold was brought back in season 2 as a bad guy, denying us the long-wanted Sara/Snart confrontation many was looking forward too. Damien Darhk has been confirmed to come back in some form for season 3 but will we see some old faces from season 1 like Hawkgirl or Hawkman?
Hopefully we will get answers to these questions and more when Legends of Tomorrow have their panel July 22nd at 4:10 pm as apart of a big of Arrowverse panels that day.
Legends of Tomorrow season 3 premieres Tuesday October 10th on the CW at 9 pm.
