The wait is finally over. After 514 days of the One Direction hiatus, after solo music hitting the airwaves from all members but one, we finally get to round out that 4/4 collection we’ve been waiting for.

Liam Payne is about to officially become a solo artist as his debut effort, Strip That Down, hits the air May 19.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah… #StripThatDown ⬇️

In a sexy and enticing tease, Payne posts a short video clip to Twitter and Instagram featuring his enviable physique swaying to a catching snap beat. We have heard small clips from Payne since the band began its break in late 2015, but this will be the first official release for the star. Following in his band mates footsteps, there is little doubt that the song will be strong, showing his personal flavor and wide range voice at the forefront.

After an already overwhelming month of music releases in thanks to Niall Horans Slow Hands and Harry Styles single Sign of the Times and album drop only days ago, it seems that those who were feeling desolate due to the 1D shortage are drowning in new music. Despite our missing of our fav group, we cant help but love the fact that each is having the opportunity to branch out, stretch their limbs, and put forward their own unique sounds. These opportunities allow each to become their own, display their individual skill and in my opinion, is much more personal. No longer are they tied to the pop music of the 1D brand, but are now able to add their own touch of rock, R&B and whatever else their hearts desire.

May 19 cant come fast enough!
