That’s a wrap! The Death Cure, the third and final installment in the Maze Runner film trilogy adapted from the bestselling novels by James Dashner, has finished filming and is one step closer to hitting theaters.
Director Wes Ball took to Twitter to share the news, posting a photo showing the top of the call sheet from the last day of filming – Saturday, June 3.

Though we aren’t able to see which cast members were on set for the final scenes, the call sheet does reveal that it was a night shoot (which typically means some intense scenes for Thomas & Co. – think the Grievers from The Maze Runner and the showdown with WCKD in The Scorch Trials).
Filming for The Death Cure resumed this past March in South Africa, following delays after star Dylan O’Brien was seriously injured in an on-set accident last year in Vancouver. Since then, production appears to have been smooth sailing.
O’Brien and his fellow Gladers shared a first look at the film from set in a video shown at the MTV Movie & TV Awards last month, which you can watch below.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure hits theaters on February 9, 2018.
