NBC’s Fall TV Lineup 2017 Features Shake-Up

THIS IS US -- "I Call Marriage"

As we begin to wind down the 2016 television season, it’s already time to start planning ahead for fall 2017, which is set to bring us more from our favorite returning shows and some new series.

NBC was the first to release its fall 2017 television schedule ahead of its Upfront presentation. As NBC brings back a bulk of its returning series, including This Is Us, Timeless, and One Chicago franchise, there’s a definite shakeup in the lineup.

Freshman powerhouse This Is Us will be moving to Thursdays as part of NBC’s plan to bring back Must-See-TV-Thursday. Paired with This Is Us will be Will and Grace, Great News, and freshman series Law and Order True Crime: The Menedez Murders.

As we await the fate of freshman series Chicgao Justice, things for Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. remain steady with each series maintaining its Tuesday and Wednesday night spots at 10pm. But Chicago Med won’t premiere right out of the gate. After Law and Order True Crime‘s eight episodes, Chicago Med will hit its new 10pm timeslot.

Other midseason series on the way include Timeless, Shades of Blue, as well as new series Rise, A.P. Bio, Good Girls, Champions and Reverie.
