Holy new Dawn of Justice stills, Batman!
Entertainment Weekly has debuted some new stills from the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and these new looks at the film certainly don’t disappoint.
The new photos give us a look at Superman in the crowd, Batman with the bat signal, Lex Luthor sporting a full head of hair, a behind the scenes photo of Ben Affleck and director Zack Snyder, Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) at Wayne Manor, and a showdown between Batman and Superman.
This is all part of a special cover story that will premiere as part of the Comic-Con Preview issue.
Ben Affleck spoke to EW about his interpretation of Bruce Wayne and the Batman character, calling him the American version of Hamlet in, “We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations.”
He also discussed his version of an older Bruce Wayne:
“He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life,” said Affleck. “There’s this sort of world-weariness to it.”
“He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it,” says Affleck. “But this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”
EW also shared a description of Wayne Manor, describing it as “a desolate husk, overtaken by weeds and water-stains after years of neglect.” Sounds homey.
Batman v Superman will appear at San Diego Comic-Con next Saturday, July 11 during Warner Bros.’ Hall H panel beginning at 10:30am.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
