Be still my comic book heart. New details of the Justice League movie from Warner Bros. have surfaced via Wall Street Journal, and I’m cautiously optimistic but still incredibly excited.
Justice League, which will bring together the best crop of DC superheroes, will act as a follow-up to the untitled Superman vs. Batman film, which is set for a May 6, 2016 release, and will be directed by Zack Snyder (who directed Man of Steel and is directing Superman vs. Batman).
“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” said Mr. Silverman. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”
A script is in development and no release date has been confirmed, but Wall Street Journal says the film is unlikely to be released before 2018.
Henry Cavill is set to reprise his role as Superman, as well as in Superman vs. Batman, as are Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot as Batman and Wonder Woman, respectively.
Now, all I need is for Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin to be playing Green Arrow and Flash, respectively, on the big screen like they do on the small screen. You’ll find no better Green Arrow than Stephen Amell.
