New ‘Supergirl’ Season 3 Trailer Previews Kara’s Inner Struggle

Just in case you haven’t heard, National City is Supergirl’s city. So evil-doers beware. Because the Girl of Steel is packing quite the punch in the latest trailer for the upcoming season of Supergirl.

“I tried to be Kara Danvers for 15 years, but I’m not supposed to be her,” Kara recites in the new trailer, giving us a glimpse of Kara’s focus on Supergirl as she continues to struggle with the loss of Mon-El in last season’s heart wrenching season finale. You could say, like we’ve all been guilty of doing, that she’s throwing herself into her work during a time of heartbreak.

The new trailer gives us a glimpse at Supergirl’s first foe of Season 3 in Bloodsport, as well as a glimpse of the action-packed new season. And if you look closely, you can spot Odette Annable’s Reign, who’s set to be the season’s Big Bad.

Watch the thrilling new Season 3 trailer below, and prepare for the epicness that will be the return of Supergirl!

Ridding National City of Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army was a major win for Supergirl, but one that came at a significant cost, as Kara was forced to sacrifice her budding relationship with Mon-El. When season three returns with all-new supercharged adventures this fall on The CW, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

Supergirl Season 3 premieres Monday, Oct. 9 at 8/7c on The CW.
