New ‘Supergirl’ Season 3 Trailer Proves There’s Power in Emotion

Despite what some people say, being emotional and feeling those emotions doesn’t make you weak. In fact, it gives you power. There’s a great power in emotion that can either lift you to your highest high or drop you to your lowest low. And that’s going to be one of the challenges Kara faces in the all-new season of Supergirl.

“The thing that makes women strong is that we have the guts to be vulnerable. We have the ability to feel the depths of our emotion, and we know we will walk through it to the other side,” the always-wise Cat Grant recites in the new trailer, giving us a glimpse into the emotional aftermath of Mon-El’s absence and how Kara has thrown herself completely into her work as Supergirl. So much, it looks like, that she’s nearly lost herself in the process.

But it’s all a part of Kara’s hero’s journey.

The new trailer gives us a glimpse at Supergirl’s third season, which includes another look at Reign, Danvers sisters love, Sanvers, Kara’s struggles, and a glimpse at an emotional Karamel dream sequence that’s sure to leave us sobbing until Mon-El’s inevitable return.

We’re ready for the next chapter of Kara’s story.

Watch the thrilling new Season 3 trailer below, and prepare for the epic and emotional new season of Supergirl!

Ridding National City of Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army was a major win for Supergirl, but one that came at a significant cost, as Kara was forced to sacrifice her budding relationship with Mon-El. When season three returns with all-new supercharged adventures this fall on The CW, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

Supergirl Season 3 premieres Monday, Oct. 9 at 8/7c on The CW.
