Divisional Round weekend is in the books and we have our final four teams left: Patriots, Steelers, Falcons and Packers.
Saturday delivered a couple of dominating performances from Atlanta and New England. Sunday however gave us a couple of nail-biters and a memorable playoff moment thanks to Aaron Rodgers and Jared Cook
So now we will reveal our winners and losers of the NFL Divisional Round Weekend!!
ATLANTA FALCONS 36, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 20
Winner : Matt Ryan – The Atlanta Falcons quarterback had a career day as he easily took apart the Seahawks defense. 3 touchdowns and over 300 yards passing helped the Falcons pull away in the 2nd half and now the Georgia Dome gets to host one more NFC Championship game next Sunday.
Loser: Seattle Defense – Once feared around the league, they were easily picked apart by Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense. Earl Thomas’s injury hurt, but lets be real. This defense isn’t as good as it used to be.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 34, HOUSTON TEXANS 16
Winner: Dion Lewis – Lewis’s kickoff return touchdown in the 1st Half helped the Patriots stop the Texans’s momentum and helped level out a sub-par day from Tom Brady.
Loser: Brock Osweiler – On a day where Tom Brady throws 2 interceptions, you have to have a great performance. Brock instead threw 3 interceptions and less than 200 yards passing. A awful day from a awful quarterback
GREEN BAY PACKERS 34, DALLAS COWBOYS 31
Winner: Mason Crosby – Crosby nailed 2 50+ yard field goals in the last 2 minutes of the game. Aaron Rodgers and Jared Cook’s miraculous play doesn’t matter if Mason doesn’t hit that clutch 50 yard field goal with no time left.
Loser: Dallas coaching staff – Lots of questionable choices from them : From not giving the ball to Ezekiel Elliott more to not blitzing Aaron Rodgers on the next-to-last play. Can not give Rodgers that much time there at the end.
PITTSBURGH STEELERS 18, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 16
Winner: Le’Veon Bell – Bell once again carried the Steelers to a playoff victory with 170 yards rushing. If the Steelers have any chance next week versus New England, they must feed Bell the ball early and often.
Loser: Travis Kelce – Sorry Travis but the refs made the right call on a holding penalty on the Chiefs late in the game. Maybe it wouldn’t have mattered if you hadn’t dropped the ball 3 times during the game!
