Even though Niall Horan is on a hiatus from his uber popular band One Direction, the Irish star has been almost just as busy as he would be if he were on tour!
Since the band started their break back in the fall, Horan has disappeared from the Marauders Map (trekking through Asia), hung out with friends, started a new business venture (a golf management company with Modest! big wigs) and now…hosted a charity event. Phew. Im tried just listing it all.
Held at The Grove on Sunday, May 29, Niall alongside golf pro Justin Rose, hosted the Horan & Rose event, a venture raising money and awareness for UK children and teens with cancer.
Looking quite dapper himself, Horan was rather excited about the whole thing:
“I’m thrilled to team up with Justin to host our first Horan & Rose Gala event, it’ll be great to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK Kids and teens, a charity I feel very strongly about. As a golf fanatic teaming up with Justin, a major winner, Ryder cup hero and a great friend, is just so exciting. I can’t wait for this two day event.”
By the end of the event, the team had raised more than a half million pound for cancer research.
As if that wasn’t enough, Niall surprised a group of children at a bowling alley. Spending some time with them, he admits was “really inspiring.” Of course, we have no doubt the kids thought the same about Nialler!
