Say it isn’t so!
Though Starz hasn’t officially confirmed the news (yet), both Diana Dabaldon and executive producer Maril Davis have stated that the Starz series, which is still airing it’s second season, will be skipping San Diego Comic-Con this year.
Gabaldon, who penned the book series in which the series is based, confirmed it to a fan on the literacy community Compuserve. Davis, meanwhile, stated the same thing when question on twitter, as you can see below.
@OutlanderItaly No we won’t.

There could be many reasons why the series is choosing this skip this year’s biggest convention, among them scheduling conflicts, but common sense also indicates that since Outlander‘s season two won’t end till July 2, a few weeks before SDCC officially starts, there won’t be any real S3 news to share in a possible panel.
Of course, there’s also the fact that Outlander hasn’t yet been renewed for Season 3. *crosses fingers*
Starz can’t be counted out of San Diego Comic-Con 2016 completely, though. American Gods is likely to make an appearance, as Starz’s other high profile show.
