The Vampire Diaries is all-new tonight, and we’re getting you ready for what’s sure to be an emotional hour with pictures, sneak peeks and what we’ll be watching for.

Thursday, Oct. 9, 8pm, The CW

5 Things We’re Watching For In The Vampire Diaries – 6×02 “Yellow Ledbetter”

  1. Will Elena go through with it?

It’s a hefty decision, choosing to have memories of loving someone willingly erased from your head, so we’re wondering if Elena will actually go through with it. And if she does, would there be a way to undo it?

  2. Where the hell are Bonnie and Damon?

The great mystery continues. After getting a glimpse of Bonnie and Damon seemingly unknowingly living alternate lives, this week looks like the two will be trying to figure out where the hell they are. But the question is, when will we find out? Will we ever?

  3. Stefan and Caroline’s reunion.

Stab me right in the heart why don’t you? This is the episode where Stefan and Caroline come face-to-face for the first time in four months and it’s sure to trigger a lot of memories and emotions. Should we be on the look-out for any heartfelt confessions?

  4. The return of Enzo.

We seriously missed Enzo in the premiere last week, but it seems as if his grand reentrance will be worth the wait. Enzo (dragging Caroline along, apparently) crashes Stefan’s new life which sets off an awkward dinner date. But we have to wonder, what is Enzo’s endgame?

  5. Will will find out what’s the deal with these episode titles?

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing I love more than ’90s grunge episode titles (like tonight’s “Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam and 6×04’s “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden), but every week I’m here saying, “What is the deal with these titles? How the hell do they tie in?”

A LONG WAY HOME — Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena (Nina Dobrev) turns to Alaric (Matt Davis) to help her move on with her life. Enzo (Michael Malarkey) convinces Caroline (Candice Accola) to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, but Caroline is shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan (Paul Wesley) has been up to. Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) worries about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who is spending time with Sarah (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a mysterious girl who has recently arrived in Mystic Falls. Elsewhere, Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson), leader of the community protection program, makes an interesting confession to Matt about his connection to the town. Lastly, with the Other Side destroyed and gone for good, Damon and Bonnie reluctantly band together to uncover the mystery of where they are and how they are going to get back home. Pascal Verschooris directed the episode written by Julie Plec (#602).
