Today will be a whirlwind at Comic Con, but yesterday was pretty low key. We however, had the most amazing day thanks to some of our favorite things taking center stage. Outlander, The Gifted, Teen Wolf, The 100, Fear the Walking Dead and iZombie.
It was nice to take in Comic Con and not worry about the stresses of running from room to room. By far and away, Outlander was the highlight of our day. Guys – the season 3 premiere – SO GOOD.
Teen Wolf was bittersweet. It’s one of those things that we were so blessed to be a part of, but so sad to know that we were saying goodbye.
Let’s break down Day 2.
iZombie spilled secrets and details about what’s coming next for Liv, Ravi, Major, and the rest of the gang. Seattle is now New Seattle and there are refugees trying to just make it inside of the cordoned-off zone for a chance to save their loved ones. Like in any situation where someone is presented with something new, the humans are frightened of zombies. Because of this there will be factions who want to destroy them and not see them become part of mainstream society. This season promises to be a surprising step forward.
FOX brought its newest comic book adaptation to Comic-Con on Friday as The Gifted introduced us to a word eerily similar to our own — minus the mutants.
The Gifted debuted several extended scenes from the show’s pilot, which introduced us to a thrilling world occupied by mutants, as well as introduced a refreshing family dynamic that’s sure to be the heart of this show. There’s so much potential with The Gifted to really delve into the character dynamics and mutant abilities in a way that movies really can’t.
The 100 Press Room: The cast and show-runner Jason Rothenberg teased picking back up after a long time jump and what that means for the characters, their progressions, the new relationships that have developed in those 6 years and what’s changed for the 7 people in space, the people in the bunker and Clarke and her “daughter,” Maddie.
Every year, Outlander is Nora and Lizzie’s cry fest, but they love it. Treated to time with the cast is always exciting. Hell, Jenna Dewan-Tatum is an amazing host and we’ll watch all the things with her moderating.
Starz surprised us with the world premiere screening of Season 3, episode 1 and our bodies were not ready. We were a mess. But a mess that we loved being. We don’t know how we are going to wait until September for all the greatness.
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD
Nothing better than zombies in the morning. We kicked off the day in the Fear the Walking Dead press room, where Executive Producer/Showrunner David Erickson and cast members including Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Dayton Callie, Sam Underwood, Daniel Sharman and Michael Greyeyes discussed what’s coming up on the show. We’ve got a lot to share with you, including some insightful discussion from the cast on the meaning of family and the inside scoop on Fear‘s shift to Mexico. In the meantime, we’ll say that Dayton Callie is hilarious and Daniel Sharman remains beautiful and thoughtful. That is all.
We love nothing more than spending time with Beacon Hills’ best, so the Teen Wolf press room was a great time. Executive Producer Jeff Davis and cast members including Tyler Posey, Colton Haynes, Charlie Carver, Dylan Sprayberry, Shelley Hennig, Cody Christian, Linden Ashby, and Melissa Ponzio were in attendance, reflecting on 100 episodes of Teen Wolf and teasing what’s to expect from the final ten episodes. Though of course they couldn’t reveal too much, we did learn that there will be an awkward reunion scene between Jackson, Stiles, and Lydia – and that in addition to the Hunters and Gerard, there’s another villain seen in the trailer who may be the show’s creepiest yet. Stay tuned for more from the interviews!

Yes, that’s what we call a slow day at Comic Con. It was still pretty busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Stay tuned for tomorrows wrap up of today! It’s a busy one!
