Ok, so I just shelled out $140 bucks for three years of Disney+ and I have no regrets. I admit, I am staring at my cable box right now, knowing that it’s going to have to go soon, because the cost of all the streaming services that I am going to need to have is going to eat up that part of my budget.
It’s just going to have to wait until after Christmas, because I am willing to make sacrifices for the sake of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
I will be getting Apple TV+ also. Why? Well besides the fact that they are going to have The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, it’s because they will also have Dickinson.
The show stars Oscar® nominee Hailee Steinfeld as Emily Dickinson. That’s enough for me to be excited because (1) Hailee and (2) I love Dickinson’s work.
“I have one purpose and that is to become a great writer,” says Dickinson in the small glimpse that we’ve been given of the show.
The show is a half hour comedy on the streaming service that will explore, “constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet.”
The show also stars Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Blake Enscoe.
The series will debut on the streaming platform Apple TV+ in the fall. Can not wait (though my checkbook can).
Are you looking forward to Dickinson?
