We’re fans of Selena Gomez and not just because she was able to drag Justin Beiber’s photo comments. It’s because she is genuinely kind, humble, and loves to be there for her fans. Yet, we also love her because her Instagram game is on point.
The triple threat was in Vogue magazine and spoke about how designers didn’t always want to dress her.
“I wasn’t always the [designers’] top choice,” Selena explained. The triple threat is Louis Vuitton‘s latest campaign headliner and we’re loving it.
The singer also talked about her fashion style.
“I like to find things that are unconventional and make them look classic,” she says, “because if I’m forcing something, you can just tell.”
Selena isn’t like everyone else and that’s part of why we love her. She represents that anyone can do anything that they set their mind to. That you don’t have to be a cookie cutter image to be important. She talked to Vogue about the time that a mother brought her kids to the set of Wizards of Waverly Place.
“She told me, verbatim,” Gomez remembers, “‘I need my daughters to see that they don’t have to be blonde and blue-eyed to do anything they want.’ And I remember being a little confused at the time. I didn’t realize it was significant.”
It is significant. Very much so.
